    John Rabe, a German businessman, is known for his efforts during the Japanese Nanking Occupation. The Nanking Safety Zone, which he helped establish, sheltered approximately 200,000 Chinese people from slaughter during the massacre.
    The John Rabe house located in Nanjing. On 1628 square meters, more than 300 photographs, files, and historical materials tell Rabe’s life story. The main focus is to commemorate the heroic efforts of John Rabe and the other members of the Nanking Safety Zone.
    The underground bunker, a "Safety Zone" during the Nanking massacre, where John Rabe hid local Chinese refugees. John Rabe stayed in the area during the Nanking Massacre and protected more than six hundred Chinese refugees from Japanese persecution within his property.
